Pictures March 6th

Hi Everyone!

There are some more pictures here, been quite busy getting things read for my return home on Wednesday. I plan to visit one of the hospitals before I come home.  We also went for a trip last week to the western side of Uganda, the drive there was 6 hours, I was up at 4:30am. Our return was 8 hours all in the same day. We were able to visit the town of Mbarara where there is a children’s hospital being built to serve the community by an organization supported by some local San Diego churches. The hospital was beautiful and amazing.

The kids are doing great and keeping me busy. We’ve doing more profiles for new children that are in desperate need of sponsors. Their profiles will be available to view at the fundraiser coming up on March 15th. If you haven’t already marked your calendars, please do so. It’s going to be a great event with many local businesses helping to sponsor the event. I’m sure many of you already know.  I’ve been keeping up with my English class in the evenings after classes. The kids are having a lot of fun learning and I’m having fun teaching them.

Some much needed tools arrived care of the people building the hospital mentioned previously.  You wouldn’t believe how happy they were here to get a chain saw and weed whacker “grass eater” they call it (sure makes sense). You’ll see the pictures attached.

The kids at school are also getting new school uniforms also. You wouldn’t believe the pride they have wearing a new uniform.  They feel so special and important, you can see it in their faces. Those pictures are also attached here.

Looking forward to seeing all of you on March 15th at the fundraiser in Coronado.

Nicole
