February 6th, Saturday

Well, I’m here in Lugazi at an internet cafe.  Unfortunately, it’s not that much faster as far as the internet speed.  This teach me much patience if it doesn’t make me crazy first.  So almost all of the kids are returning to the school.  Although Henry hasn’t returned and Mulenz was there today either. I was asking the kids.  They poured some concrete today for the apartment.

I have thought of some additional things for people to send to their sponsored kids here. fingernail clippers.  Last week I was walking around and saw one of the girls cutting Scovia’s nails with a razor blade.  You can imagine the shock on my face! I was so startled.  But what’s the alternative? So, there’s an idea.  Another idea…. the kids love to have their own bibles. You have no idea the great pride that they have when they have their very own.

The kids have come with things that their parents have send, goodies, food, etc. Some of them even have cooking oil that they add to their meals to add flavor. There are all sorts of goodies, grains, peanuts and all different sorts of fun that they have here.

That’s it for today. Unfortunately I have internet so few days that I can’t even remember the things that happen yesterday to share :( Hopefully I can get it squared away soon so you can hear the stories.

Razor blades! Ahhh… makes me cringe. I will send you back with a bag full of clippers!

So nice to hear the stories even if you can’t get it all posted yet.

    Love,
    Mom
